TATA's Semiconductor industry will Create 27,000 Jobs in Assam

N Chandrasekaran, Chairman of Tata Group, emphasized the significance of the semiconductor industry as a fundamental sector for the future. He mentioned that chips will play a crucial role in various aspects of people’s daily routines. This statement was made following the ‘bhoomi pujan’ ceremony of Tata’s semiconductor unit in Morigaon, Assam, which is being established with an investment of Rs 27,000 crore.

In Jagiroad, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, together with Chandrasekaran, performed the ‘bhoomi pujan’ for the facility. It is expected that this development will generate 15,000 direct jobs and create between 11,000 and 13,000 indirect job opportunities.
